Two-Vehicle Accident on Route 50 Between Bridgeport and Clarksburg Sends Three for Medical Treatment

According to WDTV, three people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident on Route 50 between Clarksburg and Bridgeport Thursday afternoon, June 26.

Authorities responded to the accident at approximately 3:45 p.m. between the Old Bridgeport Hill and Joyce Street exits in the westbound lanes.

Route 50 westbound was shut down for about 45 minutes, and traffic was rerouted onto Old Bridgeport Hill, according to Harrison County 911 officials. As of 4:40 p.m., one lane was reopened.

The Clarksburg Police Department is investigating the incident, and the Clarksburg Fire Department and Harrison County EMS assisted on scene.
