LOS ANGELES (KABC) — The heat is returning to Southern California this week.
Temperatures will begin to warm up on Monday and continue to climb throughout the week as high pressure builds. Some areas will reach triple-digits by the end of the week.
Los Angeles and Orange counties Monday will see partly-cloudy skies, with a high of 84 degrees and a low of 63. Temperatures are expected to climb to 90 by Thursday and Friday.
The valleys and Inland Empire Monday will see sunny skies with a high of 93 degrees and a low of 65. Triple-digit heat is expected to arrive by Friday and Saturday.
Beaches Monday can expect morning fog and afternoon sunshine, along with a high of 74 and a low of 66 degrees.
The mountains Monday will see sunny conditions with a high of 79 degrees and a low of 49. A 30% chance for thunderstorms enters the forecast on Friday.
Deserts Monday can expect a high of 97 degrees and a low of 64, with Palm Springs hitting 107 degrees. A 10% chance for showers enters the forecast beginning Wednesday, and the chance jumps to 20% by Saturday.
