Switzerland’s supreme court said Thursday it had rejected an appeal by Islamic scholar Tariq Ramadan of his conviction last year for “rape and sexual coercion” of a woman in a Geneva hotel 17 years ago. Lawyers for Ramadan, a former Oxford University professor, said they would appeal the ruling to European Court of Human Rights.
