Former Robert C. Byrd High School All-Stater Jermodd Rashod ‘Rha Rha’ Garrett Passes Away at 31

Jermodd Rashod “Rha Rha” Garrett, 31, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at United Hospital Center.

He is survived by his wife of five years, Tori Danielle Stevens Garrett, whom he married on January 6, 2020.

He is also survived by two daughters, Naleigha Carder and Gabriella Garrett; and one son, Jermodd R. Garrett, Jr.; two brothers, Al-Teric Garrett of Clarksburg, and Devonti Birch of Clarksburg; his maternal grandmother, Willa Maxwell of Clarksburg; two nephews, Al-Teric Jr. and Zayden; one niece, Victoria; his uncles, Shawn, Redd, Mark and Eddie, his aunts, Nicole, Tay, and Marreen, and cousins, Nahiem, Tre, Tia-Jhna, E.T., Taneekah, Walter, Ladon, Trapper, Little Marie, Braylee, Elajah, and Derrick. He also leaves behind his best friend, Michael Cook.

Rha Rha graduated from Robert C. Byrd High school in 2013 where he played football and ran track and was All -State in both. He served in the WV National Guard 1201st Company for seven years. He was employed with Cintas as a Route Driver.

He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, watching Anime, gaming and shooting, and was a great friend. Rha Rha had an outgoing personality and lit up every room he walked into. Above all he loved his family, especially his children, and his dogs.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Thursday, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Holyfield presiding.

Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated following the services.
