YELLVILLE, Ark. — On May 20, 66-year-old Douglas Starkey of Yellville, former treasurer of the Airport Board of Directors, pleaded guilty to one count of theft of property and one count of abuse of office.
This follows an investigation regarding missing funds at the Marion County Regional Airport in Flippin. Investigators determined that Starkey had stolen $117,696 during his time as treasurer.
He was arrested on May 12 and will serve six years of probation, plus pay full restitution of $117,696 to the Marion County Regional Airport.
