Clarksburg Amp to Hold Free Concert Wednesday as Queen city Funk and Soul to Perform; Free Food Too

The City Parks of Clarksburg is saying “thank you” in a big way with a special Appreciation Night at the Clarksburg Amphitheater on Wednesday, August 20, featuring the high-energy sounds of Queen City Funk and Soul. The evening will include a free concert and free hot dogs and chips for all in attendance.

“We just want to thank everyone who loves the Amp and what we do to bring quality acts to this great area,” said Superintendent of Parks Doug Comer. And having a group that has played at the Amp over the years like Queen City Funk & Soul to perform on this night just makes it even more special. The passion they have to entertain brings energy to the audience, which leads to dancing, singing, and a terrific overall experience.”

Queen City Funk and Soul has been a crowd favorite at the Amp for years, delivering hit after hit from multiple decades. Known for their outstanding horn section, multi-talented vocalists, and a setlist packed with familiar tunes, they promise a night of music you will know and love.

Gates open at 6:00 PM, with the show beginning shortly after. All guests will be treated to complimentary hot dogs and chips as a token of appreciation from the City Parks of Clarksburg and the Park Board of Commissioners.

“The Park Board of Commissioners wanted to say thank you for the support Clarksburg has given over the years — whether attending shows, enjoying our parks, or supporting the Levy,” Comer added. “Without the great citizens of Clarksburg, we wouldn’t be able to do the things we do for the city and for all our friends who visit.”
