LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Officers with the Little Rock Police Department responded to a shots-fired call at around 5 p.m. on the 11000 block of Southridge Drive.

When officers arrived to the location, they heard shots coming from the back of the home.

Officers made their way to the back of the home where an individual pointed a firearm at them. Shots were fired and the individual went back inside the home.

Shortly after, more shots were fired when the individual ran into another officer at the front door.

The suspect was injured and taken into custody. He was also treated for non-life-threatening injuries by MEMS.

Due to the officers discharging their service weapons, they have been placed on administrative leave until an investigation is finalized.

This is an ongoing investigation. We will update this article as more information is released.
