A 15-year-old was arrested in connection with multiple reports of suspicious devices found in Sahuarita.
SAHUARITA, Ariz. — The Sahuarita Police Department has arrested a 15-year-old resident in connection with multiple reports of suspicious devices found in the Rancho Sahuarita subdivision last month.
The Pima Regional Bomb Squad responded to incidents on June 13, 2025, and June 20, 2025, successfully neutralizing devices that appeared to be explosive or simulated explosives.
After extensive investigation, SPD detectives identified the 15-year-old suspect who was booked into the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center on July 16. The suspect faces three counts of weapons misconduct, three counts of misconduct with simulated explosives and one count of destruction of a protected plant.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing, and SPD anticipates additional arrests.
