Visitors to the UAE now have the opportunity to obtain a three-month visa, as confirmed by a call center executive at the Federal Authority For Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP). This new visa option, introduced in late May 2023, allows individuals to stay in the UAE for a maximum duration of 90 days. To obtain the visa, interested individuals are advised to consult their travel agents who can assist with the application process.
The three-month visa complements the existing tourist visa options, which include 30-day and 60-day stays, offering visitors greater flexibility in planning their itineraries. While the 30-day and 60-day visas have been popular among visitors seeking shorter stays, the introduction of the 90-day visa accommodates those who wish to spend an extended period in the UAE.
The visa fee for the 90-day visit visa varies depending on the issuing travel expert, starting at Dh1,500 and going up to Dh2,000. It is also possible to extend the visa within the country, although specific details regarding the extension process have yet to be announced.
Anyone can apply for this visa, although there has not been significant inquiry about it thus far. Family members of UAE residents, such as children visiting during vacations or parents of residents, may find this visa option particularly beneficial for longer stays.
To apply for the long-term visit visa, applicants are typically required to submit a recent passport-size colored photograph and a copy of their passport.
The processing time for the visa application is estimated to be up to five working days, although expedited processing in as little as two days may be available.
