The Brazil Emirates Conference bring entrepreneurs and authorities to Abu Dhabi and Dubai
LIDE – Business Leaders’ Group host the Brazil Emirates Conference in the United Arab Emirates from March 6th to 8th. The event bring together entrepreneurs and authorities with the focus of discussing bilateral trade opportunities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The conference take place at the Hotel Kempinski The Boulevard Dubai. Agribusiness, Innovation and Technology, Infrastructure, and Real Estate are among the macro themes which will be discussed and will be the focus of investments, particularly by major Emirati funds.
Confirmed entrepreneurs include: Pedro Bueno (Dasa), José Cutrale Jr. (Cutrale), Miguel Setas (CCR), Seleh Lootah (UEA Food and Beverage), Patrick Burnett (Inovetech), Paulo Neves (Raízen), Claudio Lottenberg (Albert Einstein), Paulo Henrique Costa (Banco BRB), Maurício Cruz (OEC Engenharia/Novonor Group), Wilson Ferreira (former Eletrobras), Mohamed Jassim Al Rais (Al Rais and LIDE Emirates), Bruno Araújo (LIDE Emirates), Essa Al Ghurair (Ghurair), Rasha Hissein (Nakhell Properties Company), Rashed Al Mulla (Dubai CommerceCity), among others.
Also participating will be Michel Temer (former President of Brazil), Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi (Minister for Foreign Trade of the UAE), Osmar Chohfi (Arab-Brazilian Chamber), Roberto Rodrigues (FAO/UN), Francisco Matturro (former Secretary of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo), Saleh Alsuwaidi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Brazil, Mohamed Al Kamali (Department of Economy and Tourism of the UAE), Omar Al Olama (Minister for Artificial Intelligence of the UAE), Nicola Miccione (Chief of Staff of the State of Rio de Janeiro).
Cooperation between the two countries
For the Chairman of LIDE, Luiz Fernando Furlan, former Minister of State of Brazil, the United Arab Emirates is an important market in several areas. Bilateral trade is important and an environment of cooperation contributes to business expansion.
The President of LIDE Emirates, Rodrigo Paiva, believes that LIDE’s first major global event in the country, where a division of the group was opened this year, will bring the productive sector of both nations even closer together and create good opportunities.
The Chairman of LIDE Emirates Mohamed Jassim Al Rais, stressed the importance of LIDE in the process of economic rapprochement between the UAE and Brazil and opening new opportunities and horizons
João Doria, Co-Chairman of LIDE, former governor of the State of São Paulo and former mayor of the city of São Paulo, underlines the importance of a delegation of relevant entrepreneurs on a bilateral basis. “In addition to discussing issues of mutual interest and expanding dialogue between sectors, the visits to funds such as Mubadala and ADIA offer excellent business prospects.”
The President of LIDE, João Doria Neto, says that the launch of major events in the Middle East demonstrates LIDE’s global presence and strengthens its differentiation within the world’s productive sector.
