Spain arrests alleged arsonist as France sends planes to battle deadly wildfires

Spain was grappling on Thursday with one of its worst fire seasons in 20 years, with blazes fuelled by record heat forcing evacuations and prompting the country to seek help from European partners. France sent two Canadair water-bombing planes to help tackle the fires as police arrested a suspected arsonist in northern Zamora province.
