The call, according to the RVFD, came in to the Harrison County 911 at 12:53 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28. The call was for a two-vehicle accident with injuries. The accident took place in the eastbound lane of Route 50 near the Lake Floyd exit.
Upon arrival, first responders observed vehicles with significant damage to the front end. Three individuals were treated at the scene.
The accident also forced traffic in both directions to be shut down for a brief period to allow for fire and EMS to operate at the scene. As a result, the Harrison County Emergency Squad transported two patients for further evaluation.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the Bridgeport Detachment of the West Virginia State Police also responded to the scene.
