Say hello to Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel’s gorgeous new look

Anantara Hotel Downtown Dubai has unveiled a stunning new redesign of its lobby and meeting rooms as part of the first phase of a landmark renovation, and it’s truly a sight for sore eyes. The concept for the refurbishment is inspired by a mirage look that celebrates the living, breathing environment.

Expect to be greeted by a lush oasis reminiscent of tropical garden flows as you walk into the lobby. The wooden finish of the interiors works perfectly with the carefully placed greenery, including the organic indoor plants and the imposing flower display that is changed every week, to create the calming atmosphere.

The highlight of this reinvention is the striking chandelier. Created by Kolektiv Ateliers, the striking signature piece drops from the ceiling in a cascade of 1,000 handcrafted bohemian glass pieces in shades of crystalline green.

Walk further inside, into the lobby lounge, and here, you can slow down, relax and unwind amidst the rich, green hues as you tuck into a delicious, forest-inspired afternoon tea. In tune with the surroundings, the collection of bites has been created and curated by chef AJ.

The new Journeys Afternoon Tea, served in the revamped Lobby. Each quarter, visitors can explore a different destination each month through a selection of signature morsels and bites created by our chefs. The grand tour begins in Europe for November featuring smoked salmon with horseradish and asparagus, bacon, leek and parmesan mini-quiche, classic vanilla mille-feuille, macaroons and pralines alongside premium teas.

Choose from a selection of sweet pastries and savouries accompanied with drinks of your liking, such as tea, coffee and more. The experience is priced at Dhs195 per person including unlimited tea and coffee, and Dhs295 per person including unlimited tea, coffee and 2 hours of free-flowing sparkling.

At the centre of it all is the island seating area –  featuring bespoke furniture and opportunities to socialise, conduct casual meetings or enjoy the scenery outside. You can enjoy your afternoon tea here as you catch up or kick back.

Along with the lobby, the hotel’s meeting area on the 26 floor has also been reimagined. It is now a softer, less-formal space, furnished with Anantara’s trademark Thai-inspired heritage. The decór with features colours and patterns that reflect the classic Asian design. This refurbishment includes the prestigious Executive Boardroom and 10 state-of-the-art meeting rooms.
