The prime time for rain in the Valley will be 5 p.m. to midnight on Sunday.
A few storms could put down heavier rain amounts. But generally speaking, we’re looking at .10″ to .50″ by early Monday morning.
This is the weather setup we’ve been tracking for about a week now: A nearly-stationary low-pressure system off the coast of Baja California, Mexico and the remnants of former tropical storm Alvin (south of Cabo San Lucas) will join forces to increase our precipitation potential across most of Arizona. It has already started to increase the humidity, a change you can feel!
7:15 a.m. – Isolated thunderstorms are possible for the Valley on Sunday, according to NWS.
Isolated thunderstorms will be possible today with a chance of a strong thunderstorm across SE California. Any thunderstorm will be capable of producing brief heavy rainfall, while any storms in SE California may produce strong gusty winds & patchy blowing dust. #azwx #cawx pic.twitter.com/c85vF0YzNj
