Police investigating after woman’s remains found in Phoenix

The Phoenix PD said officers responded after the report of a woman’s remains being found near 27th and Glendale avenues.

PHOENIX — A death investigation is underway after the body of a woman was found early Sunday morning in west Phoenix, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said officers responded at around 6:30 a.m. after the report of a woman’s remains being found in an alley near 27th and Glendale avenues.

Police did not release information about the woman’s identity or the circumstances surrounding her death.

The police department said it expects to release more information at a later time.

Anyone with information is urged to call Phoenix police or Silent Witness if they wish to remain anonymous.
