GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. — Garland County Sheriff Mike McCormick confirmed a shooting took place on Tuesday night while a deputy was responding to a suspicious person in the 100 block of Ebony Way off Mountain Pine Road, just outside Hot Springs city limits..
During the encounter, the deputy shot a suspect. At this time, the suspect’s condition is unknown.
Arkansas State Police will be called in to investigate the incident. We will update this article with more information as it becomes available.
