Bridgeport among Multiple Emergency Service Crews Responding to Building Collapse in Harrison County

Bridgeport was among the first responders on the scene Sunday when a multi-story structure partially collapsed in the City of Shinnston.

The collapse led to a road closure in the city limits.

Joining the Bridgeport Fire Department on the scene were fire departments from Shinnston, Lumberport, Monongah, Spelter and Worthington. Also responding to the scene was the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, the West Virginia Division of Highways, and administrators from the City of Shinnston.
