CAMDEN, Ark. — An investigation is underway after a shooting caused a deadly car crash in Camden on June 20.
According to reports, police received reports of shots fired at 675 Lincoln Center. When they arrived, officers attempted to stop one of the vehicles involved, but the suspect fled.
Police pursued the vehicle until losing sight of it near the 2500 block of Hwy 24. Later that evening, reports came in of an accident near 3177 Hwy 24.
It was confirmed that the vehicle involved in the accident was the same one that officers pursued earlier that evening. Two people were found inside the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Camden police are investigating the shooting at Lincoln Center, while Arkansas State Police are investigating the crash.
