FROM THE UPSHUR COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
On June 22, Upshur County Deputies responded in the vicinity of 700 Boy Scout Camp Road for a possible drowning. Deputies arrived at the scene and began an investigation. During this investigation, Deputies learned that Harold Feagans, 71, of St. Albans, had gone to the riverbank, slipped, and fallen into the river.
Feagans was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The investigation of the cause of the death is ongoing.
