Abu Dhabi’s Jubail Island establishes successful water network

Water water everywhere, and a network to bring it to you…

 A quick ten-minute walk in the capital will have you scrambling for, you guessed it, water. And to bring a reliable supply of fresh, clean, potable water to homeowners on Abu Dhabi’s Jubail Island, a successful connection of the island’s water network has been established.

A milestone that has been in the making, the network is linked to the existing water transmission line and is operated by the Abu Dhabi Transmission & Despatch Company (TRANSCO), in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC). To the added delight of homeowners, this also paves the way for the final stages of testing and commissioning of the internal water network.

Additionally, this also comes as welcome support towards the energisation of the island, and in addition to the operation of its substations, will provide permanent grid power to key areas, motoring construction initiatives along.

Water has the miraculous ability to bring things to life, and echoing this very idea, the establishment of this network helps bring the planned Dhs12 billion megaproject to reality. The project will house an idyllic collection of 6 residential village estates located between Yas Island and Saadiyat Island.
