Supply chain disruptions have become increasingly prevalent, with nearly 80% of organizations[1] experiencing between one and ten disruptions over the past year—ranging from cyber threats to transport network failures and natural disasters. As a result, building resilience is emerging as a strategic imperative, with nearly three-quarters[2] of GCC business leaders prioritizing the enhancement of their supply chains.
This year’s conference will feature keynote addresses, leadership dialogues, executive panel discussions, and case studies tackling various supply chain challenges, including carbon footprint reduction and supply chain localization. Senior executives and industry leaders from the GCC chemical sector will examine the five key trends shaping 2025, providing perspectives into navigating emerging risks and leveraging strategic opportunities. The conference will conclude with a forward-looking discussion exploring the evolving landscape of global supply chains. It will offer insights into how supply chains will transform by 2030, and the critical steps industries must take today to drive innovation, enhance resilience, and ensure compliance and preparedness for emerging challenges.
GPCA will also host a special Gulf SQAS workshop on 26 May, exploring the impact of Gulf SQAS on safety, sustainability, and operational excellence. On 27 May, GPCA will celebrate the outstanding achievements of companies and individuals at the 6th edition of the GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Awards. The winners will be distinguished for their contributions to the industry across four categories: Supply Chain Innovation, Best Logistics Service Provider (LSP) of the Year, Excellence in Sustainability, and Women in Supply Chain.
Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Sadoun, Secretary General, GPCA, commented: “As supply chains continue to evolve in complexity, building long-term resilience is no longer optional — it is essential. The 16th GPCA Supply Chain Conference will serve as a platform for industry leaders to collaborate, share knowledge, and advance the strategies needed to secure the future of the GCC chemical supply chain.”
“By fostering innovation, investing in human capital, and strengthening regional capabilities, we can ensure that our supply chains remain agile, sustainable, and prepared for the challenges ahead. This conference will bring together expertise from across the chemical value chain to drive impactful solutions and shape the industry’s future,” he concluded.
