Dubai's Latest Hiking Trail in Mushrif Park: 8 Essential Guidelines
Starting June 20, the nearly 10km-long route will be freely accessible to the public.

A new hiking trail will be available for adventure enthusiasts in Dubai starting June 20. Located in Mushrif National Park, this nearly 10km-long mountain trail will be accessible to the public free of charge year-round, as announced by Dubai Municipality on June 11.

The trail offers two options: an 8.3km yellow recreational track suitable for beginners and a 1.4km orange sports track designed for skilled athletes with higher levels of fitness and endurance.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, it is important to adhere to the following eight rules:

  1. Carry an adequate supply of drinking water and wear appropriate clothing, footwear, and safety gear for hiking.
  2. Children between the ages of 12 and 15 may use the tracks when accompanied by an adult.
  3. Respect trail etiquettes and follow instructions provided on the signage boards.
  4. Yield to cyclists on the mountain bike trail within Mushrif Park by giving them the right of way.
  5. Walk in the designated direction of the trail, avoiding walking in the opposite direction.
  6. Stay on the designated track and refrain from straying off the designated path.
  7. Choose the appropriate track level based on your skill and fitness level. The orange track is intended for skilled athletes with higher endurance.
  8. Avoid cooking, smoking, camping, or staying overnight in the forest after completing the hike.

Mushrif National Park has previously established mountain bike tracks and a 50km professionals' track. The skills area is divided into three tracks: green for beginners, blue for intermediates, and red for professional mountain bikers.
