Danish Hypercar Manufacturer, Zenvo has revealed the Aurora Agil & Tur hybrid hypercars at the 2023 Monterey Car Week. The Zenvo Aurora Agil is a track-focused machine, while the Zenvo Aurora Tur is a luxury touring version of the hypercar. Both models will be limited to just 50 units each making the hypercar a collector’s item.
The name Aurora is inspired by the mesmerizing light spectacle – Aurora Borealis. It also signifies the car’s meticulous craftsmanship. The two distinct models, Agil and Tur are Danish words, translating to ‘Agile’ and ‘Touring’ respectively.
Production of both Aurora models will commence in 2026, with each model hand-built at the Zenvo headquarters in Præstø, Denmark. Prices are expected to start at around AED 10.40 million.
The Agil and Tur are powered by the same engine: a 6.6-litre quad-turbocharged V12 developed by MAHLE. And that is where the similarities end.
Aurora Agil: Along with the engine, the Agil uses a single electric motor providing another 200hp. The power is sent to the rear wheel via a 7-speed hybrid gearbox with an electric reverse gear.
Aurora Tur: Uses the same engine as the Agil. However, instead of one electric motor, the Tur uses three motors: 2 on the front axle & 1 on the rear axle adding 600bhp more. This has resulted in an increase in the overall weight from 1300kg on the Agile to 1450kg on the Tur — 150kg more. In addition to the electric motors, the Agile also features a four-wheel drive. Additionally, the three-electric-motor setup featured in the Tur is available as an optional upgrade for the Agil model.
Both variants of the Zenvo Aurora have similar mechanicals. This includes:
Built on an all-new ZM1 modular monocoque design from Zenvo, developed with carbon structure experts managing composites. The Agil is tailored for those who seek the ultimate track performance, with its aggressive aerodynamics and focused interior. On the other hand, the Tur is designed for grand touring enthusiasts who value refinement and comfort, offering a luxurious interior and versatile all-wheel-drive capabilities.
Both cars do not have any centre screen for infotainment. However, there is a small screen integrated into one of the three dials placed in front of the steering wheel.
