RTA’s New Online Vehicle Ownership Transfer Service — Buying & Selling A Car Is Now More Convenient

The RTA has introduced a new online vehicle ownership transfer service. This new service will allow users to transfer ownership of their cars online, thereby eliminating the need for them to be physically present at a service centre.

On 19 July, Dubai’s RTA (Roads & Transport Authority) released a video about the details of this new service. Users can now simply visit rta.ae and process the ownership transfer online. This new service is of immense importance as it makes the whole process very convenient for Dubai’s motorists.

Irrespective of the frequency of car buying and selling, the process of ownership transfer was identical until now. Both the buyer as well as the seller had to be present at one of the many service centres at the time of the transfer of ownership. More often than not, this would cause some inconvenience.

Now though, with the arrival of the new online ownership transfer system, things have changed for the good.
