Petrol Price In UAE & Diesel Price In UAE: Here Are The Current Fuel Prices In The UAE

UAE petrol prices for June 2023 are AED 2.76 for EPlus 91, AED 2.84 for Special 95, and AED 2.95 for Super 98. The price of Diesel in the UAE is currently AED 2.68 per litre. These prices came into effect on 01 June 2023 and are expected to remain till the end of the month. Prices of petrol and diesel in the UAE change every month and new fuel prices in the UAE are expected to arrive in July 2023.

In May 2023, prices of petrol increased by up to AED 0.15 while the price of diesel fell by AED 0.12. Now, in June 2023, prices of petrol have decreased by AED 0.21 while the price of diesel has decreased even further by AED 0.23. For the second time in recent months, diesel is priced lower than petrol and this is the third consecutive month in which diesel has seen a price decrease. 

Prices across different fuel stations across the UAE are similar and there are no differences. Getting a full tank of fuel for your car becomes a slightly cheaper experience. One would have to shell out between AED 2 & AED 5 lesser for a full tank, depending on the size of the tank. However, the per kilometre running costs do not decrease by significant margins.

Before 2015, fuel prices were highly subsidised by the government, and this protected prices from fluctuating. However, in September 2015, it was liberalised to align with global oil prices. Fuel prices in the UAE are decided by the Fuel Price Committee and we can expect more changes over the next few months.
