New 2025 MG4 EV Launched In The UAE: Prices Start At AED 96,000

MG Motor and Inter Emirates Motors have officially launched the MG4 EV in the UAE at a starting price of AED 96,000. This launch aligns with MG Motor’s broader strategy to expand its electric vehicle (EV) offerings in the Middle East, catering to the growing demand for environmentally friendly and cost-effective transportation solutions.

The MG4 EV is a compact electric hatchback that seamlessly combines modern design with cutting-edge technology. Its dynamic styling is characterized by sleek lines, a distinctive front grille, and sharp LED headlights, giving it a futuristic appearance that stands out on the road. The car’s aerodynamic profile also contributes to enhanced efficiency, a critical factor in electric vehicle performance.

The MG4 EV boasts a minimalist and functional interior. The cabin is designed to maximize space, offering a comfortable environment for both the driver and passengers. The dashboard is dominated by a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that integrates various controls, including navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings. The digital instrument cluster provides real-time information on speed, range, and battery status, ensuring the driver is always informed.

While most EVs feature either all-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive, the MG4 is primarily rear-wheel-driven with a single motor placed at the rear. The vehicle is available in different powertrain configurations, with varying battery capacities to cater to different needs. 

The MG4 EV supports fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged up to 80% in just 35 minutes, which is ideal for drivers on the go. Additionally, the vehicle features regenerative braking, which helps to recharge the battery during deceleration, further enhancing its efficiency.

MG Motor had showcased the MG4 EV and the MG Marvel R in the UAE back in October 2023 as a preview before its launch. Now, the MG4 has gone on sale in the country. Test drives, bookings and deliveries have already begun. 

With its combination of modern design, advanced features, and competitive pricing, the MG4 EV is set to be a game-changer in the UAE’s electric vehicle market, offering a compelling alternative to traditional internal combustion engine vehicles.

MG Motor claims the MG4 EV has a range of between 400km and 530km. Real world figures are expected to be between 300km and 400km.

The battery capacity of the MG4 depends on the variant. It ranges between 51kWh and 77kWh.

In 2007, MG Motor was acquired by Chinese car manufacturer SAIC Motor. Since then, all MG cars are based on Chinese cars and almost all of them are manufactured in China, including the MG4.
